I am 80+ days after my 3rd stem cell transplant for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
I was originally diagnosed in May 2016 and I had my first SCT in September 2016. I relapsed at 23 months in August of 2018 and had my 2nd SCT in December of 2018. Then, I relapsed again at 18 months and had my 3rd SCT recently in February 2021.
I am currently in remission and have just started maintenance chemo. I will be taking Onureg (oral Vidaza) and Venclexta for at least the next year.
I have just planned my first vacation in 5 years and am determined to live my life to the fullest for as long as I can.
